Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a transformative role in education, enhancing teaching, learning, and administrative processes. In teacher education, ICT provides tools for innovative instructional methods, continuous professional development, and efficient assessment, fostering a collaborative and engaging learning environment. In higher education, ICT supports blended learning, virtual classrooms, and personalized student experiences, streamlining administrative tasks and promoting academic excellence. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes ICT’s role in developing digital infrastructure, e-content, and digital literacy, promoting online learning, and integrating technology into teacher training. ICT also cultivates 21st – century skills, such as critical thinking, collaboration, and ICT literacy, preparing students to thrive in a technology-driven world.
