IMPACT OF SOCIAL TRAINING OF KUDUMBASHREE MISSION ON TRIBAL NEIGHBOURHOOD GROUP (NHG) MEMBERS By Antony J Kuttencherry and Dr. P Arunachalam

Abstract

A well-being society might have gone through some form of social developmental training. Social changes start from the social movements. Social interactions have a prominent role in social developments. The role of social development in society is very essential for the development of the society. Opportunities are the major pushing keys of the social developments. Many of the groups especially poor and backward classes could not touch the social development, because of the factors behind the social development is beyond their reach. Self Help Group (SHG) model is more conscious on social development. Women empowerment is attaining through the social development. Apart of saving and credit theory, SHGs are giving high level of training for social changes within the society. The SHGs and NGO structures have designed their training curriculums with social inclusion ideology. Kudumbashree Mission is playing an important role in bringing social development at the grass-root level of the society. Tribal are living as isolated society and they do not have any type of social interaction with rest of the society. The functioning of Kudumbashree Mission at Attappady gives more attention on bringing the social developments and social changes among the tribal people. This paper is examined   the role of Neighbourhood Groups (NHGs) in bringing the social development among the tribes in Sholayoor  Grama  Panchayath in Attappady Block Panchayath. Social developmental training examine through the social gathering and social training, knowledge updating process, computer literacy, lack of income and women credibility.
